Fit and Fertile
Fit & Fertile
How I Found My Body's Fitness From the Inside Out
A group fitness instructor’s story of overcoming hypothalamic amenorrhea in order to get pregnant naturally and lessons on how you can create feminine balance in your own life to get healthier and fitter than ever before.
While it’s not something that people in the fitness industry like to talk about, sometimes being super fit is not the best thing for a woman’s hormones and overall health. In fact, a couple of years ago, when I was ready to start a family with my husband, I discovered that I was, in fact, “too fit” to be fertile, as a working group fitness instructor and personal trainer.
It was a long road to recovery, and along the way, I became healthier than I’ve ever been before. My journey was not easy, and I knew from the very beginning that if I was successful at doing it my own way (not following the limited advice I could find online), that I would share my story far and wide.
I hope you enjoy this ebook, in which I tell my tale of discovery and eventual recovery, as well as provide tips for how you can assess and improve your own fitness and fertility.
