The best gifts for her for 2019 (fitness, fashion, beauty, health)
Hi, friends! It’s here — the A Lady Goes West ultimate gift guide — and I’m sharing the best gifts for her for 2019 focused on fitness, fashion, beauty, health and more, with a mixture of price points. I already have some of these items, and the others are on my list too. I hope you enjoy, and we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled postings next week! 🙂
The best gifts for her for 2019 (fitness, fashion, beauty, health)
Fitness and Activewear
APL sneakers. These are the “IT” sneakers that people are loving, even a lot of celebrities. They come in a ton of different styles and are said to be performance enhancing, with extra help when you jump. I love these and these, but they are all cute. I have two pairs in my shopping cart and need to pull the trigger soon.
Outdoor Voices workout set. This brand has grown in popularity like crazy, and they are famous for their pastel color-blocked leggings and top sets. The TechSweat fabric line sounds super functional, and I love the look. But this polka dot set is even cuter. I keep saying I’m going to get one of these sets, and it’s about darn time.
Varley statement leggings. These leggings are adorable, and I’ve heard great things about the brand, so I’m assuming they perform well.
Athleta high-waisted Moto leggings. These are super high-waisted and completely awesome. They look like you could even wear them out. I have a few pairs of great Athleta leggings already, so I’m sure they’re quality.
Fashion, Clothing and Shoes
Spanx faux leather leggings. I heard that these were the best-selling leggings ever so I finally ordered some, and I can definitely confirm that they feel SO good on the body, and they look amazing. They hold you in in the right way and yet are fashionable for wearing under a big sweater or button-up. I’m in love. Totally a staple piece for your closet. I wore mine on my recent trip to Atlanta with a big patterned button-up shirt and felt so comfy, yet also put together.
Fuzzy/fleece jacket. This could fit into the activewear or fashion category for sure. I’m totally into this cozy trend, and you’ve got to get your hands on a fuzzy jacket too. This one is sooo cute and looks like a dream. I need one.
The most comfortable cardigan ever. I got this one for Christmas last year, and nothing is as comfy or as high quality. Highly recommend.
Fancy studio joggers. Everyone needs a pair of fancy joggers than can be worn out, yet feel like pajamas. I bought these over the summer and get compliments every single time I wear them.
Super classic Superga sneakers. These sneakers were made popular when the Duchess was spotted wearing them, and they’ve remained cool. So simple, so cute and can really be worn with anything. Love them in white and black.
Comfy Dr. Scholl’s animal print slip-on sneakers. I bought a pair of animal print slip-ons a few weeks ago and have been surprised to find that they go with basically everything. Also, animal print will never go out of style.
Accessories and Bags
Scrunchies. Scrunchies are back in a big way. I wear one every single evening to keep my hair in a bun when I sleep and wear them during the day sometimes too. These ones are quality and even have a little flair.
Fashion baseball hat. Because sometimes you just want to throw a hat on, so you may as well choose a cute one. I’m famous for wearing the same old Warriors cap when I go outside on walks, so I’d love to fancy it up with a hat like this.
Apple Watch. Would you believe I don’t have an Apple Watch? I don’t. Dave has one. And I had said for a long time I didn’t want one, but when I see the functionality, it does make me curious. Also, there are so many cute straps for Apple watches now too, like this leopard one and these bracelet ones.
MZ Wallace tote or bag. I love the look of this line of bags, and I want almost everything. They are super light and functional and are said to hold up really well. I have my eye on the medium tote or backpack or even the pouch.
Black All Saints crossbody bag. I’ve been on the hunt for a black leather crossbody for a long time. I love the look of this one, and it should fit a ton. Maybe I’ll gift it to myself.
Supplements, Health Products and Wine
Organifi GOLD tea powder. I’ve mentioned this so many times, I better not mention it again. But here we go. I mean, SO delicious and so good for you. And you get 15 percent off with the code ALADYGOESWEST.
Organifi complete plant-based protein powder. The best protein powder I’ve EVER had. Same discount as above.
Vital Proteins collagen creamer. I use this every single day in my morning tea. It adds texture, flavor, protein and collagen to my morning tea latte, which helps with skin, hair, joint health and gut health too. I like all the flavors of the collagen creamer. You can’t go wrong. (For a great stocking stuffer, I also recommend this little Vital Proteins sample pack, available just for the holidays.)
Liquid IV. What a stocking stuffer! Use the code ALADYGOESWEST for 20 percent off and free shipping on these hydrating stick-packs.
Dry Farm Wines subscription. I’ve heard rave reviews of this Napa-based new wine company, because they produce the cleanest wine around. I need to get my hands on a case, because I like wine, and I like clean wine too.
Fitness Gear
RumbleRoller foam roller. This has been my favorite brand of foam rollers for a long time, because the knobs get deeper into your muscles than a regular foam roller. I love mine.
Trigger Point Vibrating Foam Roller. I tried this out at IDEA World Fitness Convention, and boy it feels awesome on the bod.
Theragun or TimTam percussive massage gun. This is a total splurge item, but is so amazing for massaging the muscles and helping with recovery. Dave bought me the TimTam this year, and we are both enjoying it!
Beauty and Hair
Dyson hair dryer. Thick-haired girls, this is supposed to make our lives a lot easier. I need it in my life so badly!
John Frieda hot air brush. This hot brush is super helpful for giving shape and volume to your hair, and I usually use it after I’ve gotten my hair about 75 percent dry to finish it off. Very affordable too. But I’ve heard that this Drybar Blow-Dryer Brush is far superior — although quite a bit more pricey.
Countertime regimen. I may be biased, but this is the skincare regimen that almost everyone needs. The products are safe, effective, high-quality and take care of your face in the best way, especially if you need moisture and help with fine lines.
Glow Getters trio. Such a self-care essential to have an overnight resurfacing peel, illuminating cream and highlighter to perfect and freshen up the skin during the cold winter months. This set is amazing.
Flawless in Five makeup. All you need to have on hand to get ready for the day in less than five minutes is this safer makeup set that feels good on the skin.
Good Chemistry fragrances. Who would’ve though Target would have an amazing clean fragrance line? I’ve bought the Sugar Berry a couple of times and love it. But I also love the Pacifica brand for all your clean fragrance needs, and it can be found on Amazon.
Business and Organization
Erin Condren planner. I do not have one of these planners, but I think almost every other blogger does. These are super customized and very detailed. However, speaking of planners, I bought this Create & Cultivate one at Target for 2020, and it’s pretty fancy too.
Airpods. If you don’t have Airpods yet, put them on your list. They are easy to lose, so you have to keep track of them, but they are the best — the little case even serves as a charger. I use my Airpods every single day for workouts (not great for super high-intensity, as they can fall out), and for listening to podcasts while I’m folding laundry, etc.
Noise-cancelling Beats by Dre headphones. Dave bought me these, and they have significantly improved my morning meditations. I highly recommend these headphones for meditating, traveling or wearing at work to drown the noise out. I have the white, and they are stylish too.
And there you go! Some of the best gifts for her for 2019. If you’re in the market for any of these items, just pass this blog post along to whomever should be shopping for you.
That’ll do it for today! Hope you have a wonderful week, my friends! 🙂

Have you started your holiday shopping?
Oh man, I want those sneakers – they are TOO cute!
Hi Jamie!! How are ya, lady?? Seriously, you need to add them to your Christmas list — probably don’t want to wear them out on the trails though. 🙂
Those animal print sneakers are so cute!
I think we all need them on our lists this year!!! Hope your December is off to a great start, Deborah!! 🙂
Animal print sneakers!!! Yes, animal print really does go with everything, and offers up a bit of funk as well. I don’t have an Apple watch either…and I’m alright with that. 🙂
Who doesn’t want animal print sneakers, right?? 🙂 And I totally enjoy NOT tracking things, so that’s what keeps me away from the Apple watch! Hope you’re having a great week, Kimberly!
Great list! I bought myself an early Christmas gift of airpods and I can’t believe I didn’t buy them sooner. They’re amazing!
Hi Ali! I know — I got my Airpods as a gift last Christmas, and I had no idea how much I would love them. That little charging case is amazing …
