Holiday gift guide: The best gift ideas for a fit girl who has everything
December, already? Here’s a guide with gift ideas for a fit girl who has everything …
I don’t know about you, but the holiday shopping season snuck up on me this year. Because I do a family Secret Santa gift exchange with Dave’s many siblings, I had a chance to think about what I wanted more than a month ago when I input my list (we use Draw Names, by the way), yet, I still haven’t been ready to do my portion of the shopping, and I keep putting it off. Now that it’s officially December, it’s time to dig in.
As I started to search around and find cool things, I thought I’d give you some options to inspire your search as well. I hope you enjoy these ideas of things to give the healthy fitness-loving girl in your life!
S’well water bottle
These are the bottles of the moment. I don’t actually have one, but I see them all over town when I visit studios and gyms as a teacher and as a student. These S’well bottles are double-insulated too, so rumor has it they can keep a beverage cold for up to 24 hours and hot for up to 12. Wow! The best part? S’well donates a portion of the proceeds to UNICEF. Love that! These bottles come in all shapes, sizes and colors. Here are a few of my favorites …
Gold // Champagne // Turquoise // Birch Wood // Cloud // Crocodile
Patterned yoga mat
Even if you don’t do yoga, you can use a yoga mat for core and balance work at home or at the gym. And I mean, you definitely want to bring your own mat if you’re going to be laying around on a mat in a public place. I came across these gorgeous and unique patterned yoga mats on the Interwebs and just had to share them with you. By the way, if you’re going to get someone a yoga mat, you should also consider getting them a yoga towel. As a hot yoga participant, I frequently sweat all over my mat and have tried using a beach towel, and it’s just not the same. Here are some mat and towel options …
Yeti // Yeti // Yeti // La Vie Boheme // Aha Life // Manduka // Gaiam
Workout hoodie/zip-up
It can be hard to head out for a workout in the morning or in the evening after work when it’s super cold, so you have to keep your body bundled. You can never have too many zip-up hoodies, especially if you live in the Bay Area and are accustomed to layering, casual clothes and microclimates. I’m in the market for a nice black thick one, but here are some of my other faves …
Lorna Jane // Lululemon // Lululemon // Under Armour // Under Armour // Nike // Nike
Jogger pants
For a lot of fitness-loving girls, even if you aren’t working out, you’re probably hanging out in comfortable workout-type clothing. Joggers are the perfect transition pant. I have two pairs, and I wear them far more often than is appropriate. You can wear these loose sweatpants as pajamas, over shorts to the gym on a cold day or around town to run errands. Here are some of my faves worthy of gifting …
Nike // Nike // Under Armour // Under Armour // BP // Billabong // Reebok
Studio gift cards
Have you ever asked a studio-hopping fit girl how much she spends each month or year on gym memberships and studio drop-in rates? A lot. In fact, she may not tell you the truth because it’s so bad. That’s why if your girl goes to Pure Barre, CorePower Yoga, SoulCycle or other spots, give her the gift of a free month, or even a package of classes. She’ll love it!
While the best gifts you can give someone this holiday season include your time, friendship, support and love, material things can be fun too. I wish you the best of luck shopping for the people special to you!

Question of the day
What’s on your Christmas list this year?
I totally want a swell bottle (CLOUD, come to me!!) and I have been looking at jogger pants. Alex told me I wouldn’t like them, but dang it, it gets really cold in the gym!
I think you would like jogger pants. It’s nice to have some breathing room around the legs heheh! And should I send a message to Alex about the Swell bottle? hehhee 🙂
I’ve heard great things about that Swell water bottle. I could use some new headphones and a zip up is always a good idea!
Hi Heather! Headphones are always a good idea too! I have a new pair of wireless I’ve yet to even try. Happy December, lady! 🙂
I always feel like no matter how much fitness gear I have, I could always use more.
A lot of these items are on my Christmas wish list. I would love a Swell bottle, but I can’t justify the price to buy it for myself.
I know, I know! That’s the beautiful thing about making a “wish list” heheh, right? 🙂 Happy December, Jen!
I’m putting a couple of these on my Christmas wish list especially that water bottle. It’s on my gift guide as well. I totally love it.
Oh cool! Great minds think alike. 🙂 Have a great evening, Megan!
Perfect list! The gift cards to studios is a perfect gift I think people don’t think about much but studios are sooo expensive! Also would love to find some joggers!
Hi Alexa! They sure are expensive. Fitness is definitely a good investment though. And you can’t have too many joggers. If you get some, you’ll start to live in them! Did you try Yoga Treat yet? 🙂
Not yet but it’s on my list! Did you hear Flywheel WC is no longer doing FlyBarre I was pretty bummed out about that.
What??? No!! So sad! You know, the classes were always pretty empty. Thanks for the heads up!
I really want a bigger S’well bottle and some jogger pants for around the house. And I would love some CorePower Yoga or Flywheel classes! My husband and I joke that when we first started dating he only ever bought me fitness gear, so now he tries to think of other things. And for others I always like thinking of things that might not be on their list, but I still know they’ll enjoy. Have a great weekend Ashley!
I know! You can never have enough fitness gear though. 🙂 You need some joggers for sure! Happy Friday to you, friend!
A gift card for a massage is a good one too–work out all of the aches and pains for someone who works out on the regular! These are all great ideas!
YES YES YES, another thing I really like to receive. Great suggestion, Heather. Hope you and I both get that this year hehehe we need the recovery!
This is such a blessing, because it would work for my brother if you apply the ‘gift cards’ to studios/classes to guys. He buys most of his fitness gear, but he loves to take Crossfit, so I think he would like gift cards. Also, it seems like foodie gifts always work for fit girls who have everything cause they can always use more fuel.
Totally! I hear that Crossfit is very expensive, so he would probably love to get a gift card for it. 🙂 AND YES for food. I LOVE getting restaurant gift cards as gifts. Right on, Emily! 🙂
I love all of this! Hello gifts for myself. I’ve been searching for chic joggers for a while, and I am totally digging the Nike ones. Plus, they are on sale and all sizes still available!! Woohoo!!!! Also my friend who does the Amazon thing was thinking of making his own “version” of Swell bottles…LMAO!!
I think there are a few companies making faux Swell bottles, because Dave has one haahha! Good luck to your friend! And I can totally see you in some Nike joggers. 🙂 Love ya, Jill!!!
I’ve got a swell water bottle, jogger sweats and a hoodie on my list! Such great picks!
No way!! I hope you get them all heheh! 🙂 Have a great weekend, Jen!
Looove your gift guide!! I’m now going to put jogger pants on mine 😉
I’m wearing some right now heheh! Hope you get them, Jess! So comfortable!!
