Delicious food and gift card giveaway and my other favorites

Hi, friends! How was your week? Mine was fine! I worked, subbed a BODYPUMP class, taught my regular Bootybarre class and did a lot of other things not worth mentioning. But today, I’ve got an AWESOME giveaway for you all, so read on and enjoy.

Before we get to that, I realized I hadn’t told you guys yet about our trip. Next week, Dave and I are going to Chicago for four nights. Initially, Dave was heading there for work, but because we’ve never been before, I decided to tag along, so we could hang out there together over the weekend. We’re staying in the River North area and have a few things on the agenda (you know, deep dish pizza, a comedy show and some touring around), but would welcome any suggestions. My girl, Susie, set me up with a fancy Pilates class too, so I’ll be doing that while Dave works. I hope it’s super cold, and I can’t wait to see a new city.

But this weekend will be totally run of the mill before we fly out on Wednesday, save for a quick visit from Dave’s parents, who are passing through to say hello. Stay tuned on Instagram for more. How about we get to those favorites and that giveaway?

Frontier Bites and a $25 Amazon gift card GIVEAWAY

*Please note: This giveaway is sponsored by Frontier Snacks. While I received product and compensation, the words are my own. A special thanks to the folks at Frontier Snacks for offering such a great prize package to lovely A Lady Goes West readers.

Frontier Snacks is a company based out of San Jose, California (yay Bay Area), started by a couple of brothers over a clean-ingredient baking competition. Sadly, one of the brothers passed away, and the other brother knew he had to make this start-up company into something big — and the new frontier of Frontier Snacks was born just a few short years ago. (Love a good inspirational story from a family-owned brand.)

Today, Frontier Snacks makes super simple and clean snacks with minimal ingredients. No refined sugar, no dairy, no soy, no gluten, and certified non-GMO, Frontier Bites are tasty little squares of different flavors made of only eight ingredients. And you can recognize all of the eight clean ingredients in each and know you are eating something made from real food. Super high quality! As far as the nutritional profile, five bites equals 100 calories and has about three grams of protein, so you definitely don’t break the bank when it comes to calories to enjoy a good handful.

The flavor combinations include: Almond Blueberry Lemon, Cashew Cranberry Orange, Pecan Cherry Cinnamon, Macadamia Pineapple Coconut and the newest Pumpkin Seed Apple Vanilla Bean — and they are all equally delicious. Here’s what the squares look like …

You can use these bites as a snack on their own, as a topper to a yogurt parfait, as a little crunch to round out a smoothie bowl or even dipped in chocolate for a sweet treat. Whatever you choose! They are pretty versatile, and I think topping Greek yogurt is my favorite way.

You can find Frontier Snacks products in Whole Foods, Safeway and other grocery stores, so keep your eyes peeled for these healthy, clean and tasty crunchy bites perfect for snacking or upgrading breakfast. Or check the store locator to find a spot near you.

Now on to the giveaway: One lucky winner not only gets to try Frontier Bites, but you’ll also get a $25 Amazon gift card; 5 packs of Frontier Bites and a Frontier Snacks tank top. Please note: this giveaway is open to those who reside in the U.S. only. The giveaway closes on Thursday, March 2. Enter and share with your friends!

My favorite Facebook group

So you guys, I created a Facebook group just for US, and some of us are already in there hanging out and chatting! You’re probably wondering, what is different about being in the A Lady Goes West Facebook group than just following on Facebook or reading the blog? Well, you’ll have to join to find out!

I’m planning to share things in the group that don’t make it onto the blog, popping in each day to chat about life, fitness, food, etc. and more. You’ll also get a chance to connect with others and cheer each other on. Want to be a part? Ask to join here. I’d love to see you in there!

My favorite mug

Leave it to my Mom to get me the greatest mug as a pre-Christmas gift. I safely transported this thing home from Florida on a couple of flights, and it made it in one piece and has become my go-to. I like the design, I like how it is almost bowl-like so it fits a ton of my morning collagen-filled tea, and I love how it says “Peace” on the inside.Pioneer Woman mug by A Lady Goes West

Maybe it’s a holiday mug? Who knows, but I’m using it year-round. I think my Mom got it at Wal-mart from The Pioneer Woman’s line, and it’s called the Happiness Mug. So cute!
