Six things I’ve bought to wear this spring 2022
We’re keeping it light today with a fashion post about things to wear this spring!
In my blog-reader survey earlier this year, so many of you said that you like to hear about what I’m wearing and buying, and that’s what we’re going to do today. As you know, oftentimes, I’ll link my outfits on Instagram stories or in my current faves posts, but we’re going to put all my of my recent spring purchases in one place with this one.
(Wearing some new white jeans, which you’ll hear about below.)
We’ve got a variety of price points on this list, and these are all items I’ve recently bought, some of which I’ve worn already and some of which I haven’t. I’m not a huge shopper, but I do like to do a little refresh at the beginning of each season, and these are the fruits of my online-shopping labor. (Although, I did buy one item in person, the others are all from online.)
Six things I’ve bought to wear this spring 2022
Ready for the list of things to wear this spring? Let’s go …
Oversized stripe button-up shirt
(Oversized stripe button-up shirt.)
I love this shirt, because it’s not like anything else in my closet. Also, this one is not something I would normally buy, but I’ve wanted a super-oversized button-up shirt for a while. Not everything needs to be form-fitting, and I love that about how fashion has evolved. When I saw this one online, I had to have it — also I have several items from this brand and am always pleased with them. I initially ordered one size too big and ended up exchanging it for a size smaller. It’s loose, it’s comfy, and it will look great with my white skinny jeans or maybe even shorts too. I’m wearing a 2.

White stretch skinny jeans
These are a splurge. Okay, so these jeans fit like leggings, but they are actually real jeans. They are the softest and stretchiest jeans I’ve ever had, and they are a nice bright white color. I always like to have a pair of white jeans in my arsenal (and my last pair got super stained and I ended up cutting them into “jorts” last year), and I tried on a ton of white jeans before landing on these. Now, they are skin tight, don’t get me wrong. But they feel so comfy, and I plan to wear these all the time. I spent a lot on these, more than I normally would, but I know they will be versatile, because I’ve already worn them under a sweater on a cold evening. I’m wearing a medium.

White short-sleeve ribbed cropped tee

If there were one item in my closet that I get the most use out of, it would be a plain-white tee. I have a plain-white tee from Everlane that I have worn so much it’s pretty wrecked and I desperately needed a new one (Everlane is a great online shop for basics, by the way, and they also have great ethical manufacturing policies which I can get behind). I recently picked up this perfect little cropped one from Old Navy the other day, and I’m in love. I already wore it with my faux-leather joggers on Friday night when we hosted our dinner party. I may have to get this tee in other colors, because the fit is so flattering. While it’s called a cropped tee, it actually hits right where my high-waisted pants hit. I’m wearing a small.

Black puffed-sleeve top
This cotton ribbed top has puffy sleeves, and I’m a total sucker for puffy sleeves. I bought this to wear tucked into my white jeans, and I’m very excited about this outfit. This puffed-sleeve shirt comes in multiple colors, and I see myself getting a lot of use out of it. I bought a small and expect it to shrink slightly, which will be okay.

Black woven slides
I haven’t bought a pair of black slide sandals in a long time. I always choose gold or white or tan for some reason. These black slides are super cute on, and I feel like they can be dressed up or down. They made my feet black the first time I wore them, but we’re all good now. They are leather with a square-toe look, which is very trendy for slides right now.

Navy jumpsuit
This is the item on the list that I’m most excited about wearing and haven’t worn yet. I was skeptical of how it would fit, but I put it on my body and was totally in love with the way it flatters, hides and feels so comfy, while being also dressy at the same time. And it’s a spring item, because it’s polyester and feels really light on. I can’t wait to debut it soon. I’m wearing a small in this, and it’s the perfect fit.

And that concludes my list! You’ll be seeing these items pop up in my photos for a while, because I’m a big clothes repeater, and I’m a-okay with that.
I’ll definitely be back with a summer shopping list in a few months too.
(Here’s that plain white tee and my favorite faux-leather joggers.)
Thanks for stopping by the blog to see the things I’ve bought to wear this spring, and have an awesome week, my friends! Which one of these items looks the most like something you’d wear?
