Holiday gift guide for preschool boys for 2021
Hey, friends! How are you? I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Today, I’m sharing my final gift guide of the year, and it’s all about the kiddos. Now, originally, I called this post the “holiday gift guide for toddler boys for 2021,” because I still consider Brady a toddler. But apparently, he’s now considered a preschooler instead of a toddler, because he is four. That’s where the name for this list came from! And even though this is titled for “boys,” it’s really not, because girls would and could love all of these items too. What I’m sharing are things that Brady has and loves, so I know they are good recommendations.
Let’s get to the gifts …

Radio Flyer Balance Bike
This balance bike is such a good time for Brady. It’s a bike, but without pedals, so he can learn to balance on the seat before trying out a real bike. We got it for him for his third birthday and he was unsure. Now that he’s four-years-old, he is loving his balance bike and uses it every single day, even if only for a short time. He also rode this bike in a neighborhood turkey trot last weekend for almost three miles nonstop. He’s a total pro on it, and it’s the perfect stepping stone for a real bike, which we will be upgrading to shortly. Find the Radio Flyer Balance Bike here.
Radio Flyer Scooter
This scooter is another good one that Brady really likes. It’s a very light scooter that doesn’t go all that fast, so it’s very preschooler friendly. I particularly like this one, because it’s easy for me to carry if he needs to get off of it when we’re out walking. This is a great first scooter for a little guy or girl, but make sure to get a helmet to go with it. Find the Radio Flyer Scooter here.
Monster Jam Megalodon Remote Control Truck
Brady is very into all things monster trucks. We bought this Megalodon remote control truck for him for his fourth birthday, and it’s a big hit. It’s a little loud and jarring, so parents beware. But the kiddos seem to love it. We’ve even watched YouTube videos of the real Megalodon so he could see what it’s like in the real Monster Jam world. Good times. If you know a kiddo who likes Monster Jam, this is the gift to get. Find the Megalodon Remote Control Truck here.
LEGO Classic Suitcase Building Kit
Brady loves legos. While we played with the big jumbo blocks for the first three years of Brady’s life, he’s all about the real legos now. This suitcase set comes in the perfect carrying case, with instructions for a few simple things you can build, and there are more than 200 pieces in the set. We still help him with these, and this is something he always asks to do during playtime. If you think you know a little boy or girl who is ready to get into legos, this is a great starter set. Shop the LEGO Classic Suitcase Building Kit here.
Cat Construction Dump and Loader Trucks
Brady is obsessed with construction trucks, and he can identify them all. And from what I hear from my friends, this is a common little boy thing. Brady has a bunch of construction truck toys, and these ones from Cat are some of his favorites. He even puts his legos in them. I definitely recommend these as a great gift and so they had to be on my gift guide for preschool boys. Find the Cat Construction Dump and Loader Trucks here.
Books
Books are always a welcome gift for Brady, and I think a lot of preschool-aged boys (or girls) would agree. And I like giving him books, because I’m usually the one reading them to him night after night. Here are some of his personal favorites (all of which I enjoy reading too) …
- Oh Say Can You Say Di-no-saur
- Digger, Dozer, Dumper
- Elbow Grease
- Construction Site on Christmas Night
- Dragons Love Tacos
- Encyclopedia Prehistoric Dinosaurs: The Definitive Pop-up (this one is so cool)
That’ll do it for my holiday gift guide for preschool boys for 2021. Hope you found it helpful. And if you have any other recommendations, please leave them in the comments below. Have a wonderful day! 🙂
