Have you noticed how excited people get about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? That’s because there are so many good deals on quality clothes and accessories to be had. The sale is officially open to the public, and the good stuff sells out, so act quickly if you like what you see. I placed my order late last week and can’t wait for my things to arrive.

In today’s post, I’ve scoured through the site and pulled out my favorite items for women, all under $100. Quick note: Part of the reason why I love ordering from Nordstrom, even when it’s not the sale, is because the ordering/returning process is so easy. I often order more than I need online (several sizes of an item, if I’m unsure), then I return the items to my local Nordstrom Rack, which is a bit closer to me than the regular Nordstrom, and they look up my order by my phone number. So simple.

Plaid flannel shacket

I ordered this plaid flannel shacket last week for myself after eyeing it for a while. And these shirt/jacket combos will definitely be back in style again this fall, and they would go perfectly with the faux leather leggings I’m suggesting below. I ordered the black and white shacket in a medium to make sure it has an oversized look and feel. I may even pair it with denim shorts in the late summer if the weather calls for it. Spanx faux leather leggings

These black leggings will make every list I ever create about women’s fashion, because they are that good. I’ve had my pair for three years and wear them all throughout fall and winter with sweaters, sweatshirts and blouses. These leggings are to-die-for, and they are currently on major sale. They run small, and I wear a medium in these, and they’re very flattering and compressive. If you’ve never splurged on them, here’s a great time to do it at a discount. Henley flowing top

Who doesn’t love a loose flowing ribbed henley top, especially from Free People? And this one comes in so many colors. This is also a great top to pair with the faux leather leggings. Colorblock sweater

I know it’s not quite time for sweaters yet in most places, but I love the colors of this casual sweater. And I think it will work well with jean shorts in the fall and with jeans in the winter. Shop the colorblock sweater here.

Fitted long-sleeve top

Another basic item for the closet right here. This would make a great base layer or a top to tuck into mom jeans. Plus, this top is made from modal, which is one of the softest fabrics. Shop the fitted long-sleeve top here.

Ruffle long-sleeve shift dress

I love a dress that can be worn in summer and transition to fall with some boots or flats. I wear a lot more dresses now that I live in Charlotte than I did when I lived in California, and I’m a big dress fan. This one looks like it would be flattering on a lot of body-types too. Zella plain black leggings

I used to wear a lot of Zella, which is the Nordstrom activewear brand, but I haven’t bought any in a while. These are some perfect black leggings, and I’ve had this exact style before, in navy. You can wear these for workouts or for casual everyday wear. And you can’t beat the sale price. Shop the Zella plain black leggings here.

You can just tell how comfy these joggers are by the picture. I live in my Lululemon joggers, and these look like just as good of quality, but a whole lot more affordable, with a similar style. Accessories

Gold gladiator sandals

I splurged on some similar gladiator sandals last year, and I’ve worn them so many times, because they look and feel as dressy as heels, but they are flat and comfortable. My gladiator sandals are very similar to this pair on sale, and these ones apparently have memory foam too, which sounds nice. Shop the gladiator sandals here.

Mule heel slides

I also have a very similar pair of these mule slides, which have a thick heel. They are perfect for jeans or dresses and mine are quite comfortable. Love the price on these. Shop the mule heel slides here.

Gold and rose sunglasses

I’m on my second pair of Quay sunglasses, because they look so good, and they’re reasonably priced, especially when on sale. I used to buy designer sunglasses, but once I became a mom, I realized that was not a smart thing. I’ve lost many pairs of sunglasses because of Brady knocking them around. Initial beaded bracelet
