The five best Beautycounter products for aging skin and fine lines
We’re talking about the best Beautycounter products for aging skin and fine lines today. Because you know, we’re all just trying to take care of our skin to feel good and look good. In fact, I wish I had placed more importance on caring for my skin before I did. For a very long time, I used cheap drug-store lotions and cleansers that not only didn’t do my skin any favors, but were also full of toxins that were being absorbed into my body. Ick.
Right around the time I was fixing my hormones and trying to get pregnant, I finally began to understand the importance of finding cleaner products. I started out using coconut oil for just about everything, and then realized I needed to find some more active products for my skin’s needs, especially after I had Brady and my postpartum skin was sad, dry, dull, aging and worn out. Enter Beautycounter!
I’ve now been using Beautycounter skincare and makeup exclusively for two years. It’s amazing. The products are nontoxic, ethically sourced, high-performing and super safe, which is not the case for a lot of popular skincare lines out there.
And if you’ve never tried the brand before and are ready to start, I’d love to help you. Here are a few ways to get going:
- Feel free to reach out to me via email to ask questions.
- You can fill out my skincare survey, and I’ll get back to you with recommendations.

The five best Beautycounter products for aging skin and fine lines
#1 Overnight Resurfacing Peel
Use: Every other night, after cleansing and before moisturizing.
This peel is probably the number-one product that I recommend to people from Beautycounter to try because it has so many powerful benefits. First of all, it reduces pore size, smooths the texture of skin, and of course, works on fine lines too. It’s an exfoliator, as well as a resurfacer.
This peel can be used every other night, and it gives a nice tingle when you apply it. To use it: You wash your face, dry your face, apply the peel, wait for five minutes, then put on a moisturizer and go to sleep. In the morning, you have a fresh, smooth glow and improved skin. It’s like magic.
If you want to try anything from Beautycounter (and you don’t have super-sensitive skin), I’d go with this peel. It also works on acne scars, by the way.

#2 Countertime Tripeptide Radiance Serum
Use: Every morning and night, after cleansing and before moisturizing.
This serum has a bunch of active ingredients, including Beautycounter’s original plant-based alternative to retinol. With only one pump in the morning and one pump at night after cleansing and before moisturizing, this little serum has a lot of bang for the buck. It firms skin to make it seem tighter, and it reduces fine lines.
Serums like this go deep into the skin to work. You can barely tell after you’ve applied it, but after a few days and weeks of regular use, you’ll notice a major improvement.
I actually recommend the entire Countertime line for a full skincare routine to help with fine lines, but this serum is the real hero of the bunch.

3. All Bright Vitamin C Serum
Use: Every other day in the morning, after cleansing and before moisturizing.
This vitamin C serum is the newest product on the list. And it has become one of the most popular products that we have.
The problem with aging skin is that it’s often dull and drab, but the All Bright Vitamin C Serum gets rid of all the drabness and replaces it with glow.
This serum is for daytime use only, and it smells so good. It has my favorite smell of all our products, and much of that comes from the turmeric. It’s got two different kinds of vitamin C that work deep into the skin, but it also instantly gives you a little glow when you apply it. You can also use this product to remove dark spots and skin discolorations that happen with aging.
This serum is good to use every other day under your moisturizer and makeup. It’s the best.

#4 No. 2 Plumping Facial Oil
Use: Mix a drop in with moisturizer, or apply as a moisturizer both day and night.
This plumping facial oil is so good, and you can put it all over your face, neck, chest and even in your hair if you want. I know many of us are scared to put oil on our faces (especially if you are oily), but putting this type of oil on your face is super hydrating, and it can regulate your oiliness as well.
The key to improving fine lines and improving aging skin is hydration, and this particular oil provides a ton of moisture. It also fills in lines and helps with skin elasticity. I love the Beautycounter oils and use them all the time.

#5 Countertime Antioxidant Soft Cream
Use: Every day, after cleansing and serum, before makeup.
This moisturizer is the daytime lotion from the Countertime line. Even though it’s designed for use during the day, you can also use it at night. This lotion has antioxidant protection, which means it is helping to shield your skin from environmental stressors, which can cause aging.
The soft cream is also quite hydrating, and it makes your skin feel well taken care of, whether you are putting makeup on over it or not. To apply it to your skin, put a pump or two onto your fingertips and massage it in upward strokes on your face, neck and chest. Big fan.

And those are my top five!
Side note: The health of your skin isn’t all about the products you use. Sleep, hydration, eating veggies full of micronutrients and protecting your skin from the sun all matter as well. I wrote a whole post about improving your skin with lifestyle, so check that out here if you need additional help.

Questions of the day
How was your weekend?
What’s your number-one skin concern?
Have you ever tried Beautycounter?
Hi Ashley!
I’m definitely into a non-toxic lifestyle and using non-toxic products whenever I can…including the products I use on my skin. As a mom now with a little one toddling around and touching EVERYTHING, including my skin, it’s more important to me now than ever! The overnight resurfacing peel sounds amazing! As I get older, i’m definitely trying to learn more about my skin and am focusing on protecting it. There’s a children’s book called Here We Are by Oliver Jeffers that I recently read to my son and there’s a page that teaches the little ones to care for their bodies, it says “Look after it, as most bits don’t grow back.” My mom has kept her youthful look over the years, so here’s to hoping! But, if those genes don’t pass along to me, at least i’m doing my part now to help protect the skin i’m in!
Hi lady! I love the sound of that Oliver Jeffers book — what a good thing to share with kids at a young age. Because it truly applies to us too. And props to you for knowing the importance of using nontoxic products on your skin too. Happy Tuesday, friend!
