The five must-have tops from Everlane I wear all the time

Sharing all about the five must-have tops from Everlane I wear all the time.

I’ve placed three orders in the last few months for clothing from Everlane, and I’ve been so incredibly happy with everything I’ve ordered. I also have several staple basics from Everlane in my closet that have been around a couple years and are still holding up.

A little bit about Everlane

Have you heard of Everlane? They have a handful of storefronts in major cities, but they’re mostly an online retailer. And why is Everlane different? Everlane isn’t about trends, it’s about timeless pieces you can keep in your wardrobe for several seasons.

Also, the brand only produces clothing in factories with sustainable practices and fair wages. In addition, the pricing is very transparent, so you can see why each item costs what it costs. This is one of those retailers doing things better — it’s not fast fashion.

One important thing to know about Everlane is because they’re all about being transparent, returns aren’t always free. I know I’m guilty of ordering too much and returning extra sizes with other retailers, and this can be a little wasteful. To cut down on that, Everlane asks you to order only what you want, and if you need to return, you do have to pay for shipping, or you can get free shipping back if you exchange for store credit. I get it. That being said, I’m always a little more selective with what I order from Everlane, and that’s probably a good thing.

Because I wish more people knew about Everlane, and because I wear so much from there, I wanted to do this entire post of recommendations. (In addition to the tops I’m talking about below, I have jeans, two tote bags and a romper from Everlane.)

You’ve seen many of these shirts/tops appear in my weekly current faves posts, and you’ve definitely see them in my Instagram stories. But today, you get them all at once!

By the way, this post is not sponsored by Everlane, and I buy all of my own stuff from there. But I’m using affiliate links. So if you purchase from any of these links, I do get a little credit, and I appreciate that!

Most of these tops are available in sizes XXS all the way to XL. And the average price of these tops is around $40, and you’re getting a top that will be around for a while. Love that.

Here we go …

The Pima Micro-Rib Crew Tee

This top looks like a bodysuit when it’s tucked in, but it’s not — no buttons or awkwardness to deal with at all. I always wear this shirt tucked into high-waisted jeans, and even though I’m casual and comfy in it, I feel put together. This short-sleeved tee has the softest fabric (pima is a type of cotton known to be ultra soft), and it’s perfectly form-fitting without being skin tight. It has a tiny bit of stretch, and it keeps its size and shape even after going through a few laundry cycles. I wear this top all the time, and it’s an incredible basic to have you in your closet.

If you read the reviews of this item on the Everlane site, you will see that nearly everyone who buys it falls in love. This shirt is amazing.

  • Size: I wear a small.
  • Colors: I have this in black, white and grey. And it comes in four other colors.
  • The fit: Slim.
  • The materials: Supima cotton and elastane.

The Pima Micro-Rib Funnel-Neck Tank

This shirt! I have this one in two colors, and whenever I wear it, I feel so dressed up. This tank is the same fabric as the tee from above, and the fit is similar. This isn’t quite a tank top, it’s more of a sleeveless top, and so you don’t feel exposed, and you can wear a regular bra.

The funnel-neck gives it a dressier vibe for sure. Once again, I always wear this top with high-waisted jeans or shorts. This one keeps it shape well after the wash too.

The Pima Micro-Rib Scoop-Neck Tee

Do you see a pattern here? I’m so into this fabric that I have it in four different types of tops. This one also has a little stretch, a classy scoop neck, and of course, three-quarter sleeves.

There are more than 1,000 positive reviews on this top on the Everlane website, so that should let you know I’m not the only one who thinks this is one of the must-have tops from Everlane. If I had an office job, I think I’d wear this tucked into a skirt. But instead, I wear it with jeans.

The Pima Micro-Rib Long-Sleeve Henley

This top is my newest one from the list, and you’ve seen me in it a lot lately. Even though it’s long sleeves, I can see myself wearing it for a few more months, especially with shorts in the spring. You can button the buttons all the way up for a covered-up vibe, or you can unbutton a few of the buttons to show some chest. I like both ways.

Even though this top is a basic, the buttons give it a bit of an interesting appearance. Such a fan of this one. I’ve actually worn it the last three weekends in a row, so it’s getting plenty of air time.

The Organic Cotton V-Neck

This shirt is the only one on the list not from the Pima Micro-Rib fabric line. It’s just a regular organic cotton shirt, and it’s not slimfit like the others either. I wear this shirt tucked into high-waisted jeans too, but it’s a different look from the fitted shirts from above.

This is the most casual of the tops I have from Everlane, but it’s still a staple in my closet. I have this top in both pink and blue (the blue is on sale), and pink isn’t currently in stock. And I think I need the white and grey versions in my closet too, so I’ll probably get those soon.

A couple more honorable mentions for must-have tops from Everlane

I just ordered the Supima Micro-Rib Racerback Tank, and it’s very slimfit. I ordered a small in the navy, and I probably could have used a medium. But this will be super cute for summer. It leaves the upper body a lot more exposed though — so not a daily staple.

I recently ordered the Drapey Square Shirt in a small in the bone color, and I love it. It’s a loose button-up, and it’s more of a splurge price-wise too, but I look forward to pairing it with jeans in the coming weeks. Also, bone is one of my favorite colors for clothing, anyone else?

And that’s it!

As you can see, these are the type of high-quality basic tops that will last a few seasons. I really don’t shop all that much, so it’s important to me that my clothing can go the long-haul, and these Everlane pieces do just that.

Thanks for stopping by to check out some of my must-have tops from Everlane, one of my favorite ethical retailers. Have a wonderful day and week!

  1. These are all so cute. I love the colors you have as well – they’re easy to wear with a number of different looks and very versatile!

    1. Yes! I always tend to buy cream, white or black, which go with everything — but I do have at least a couple pops of colors with the blue and pink here. Happy Monday, Shelby! Have a wonderful day! 🙂

  2. they are my go to for staples like a white v neck t shirt.
I love everlane, my only frustration is when they occasionally change a style. I have a few of their cashmere sweaters and a few years back they changed the colar, which shouldnt be a huge deal, but it totally changed the lay the sweater lay. it was a thicket band. not the end of the world but more of a why fix something that aint broke.

I LOVE their transparent pricing and the ethics in manufactoring and like you said, staples and not trendy. I have probably a dozen t shirts, a few sweaters, a few tanks.
    I have always wondered about their jeans…the 90’s cheeky….

I LOVE that you are talking about such a great brand and now I must try the ribbed line!

    1. Hi Sabrina! I understand how a small change can make a difference to you. Too bad about that! I have two pairs of Everlane skinny jeans, but I haven’t tried the 90’s cheeky in a jean — I tried it in a short, and I didn’t like hehe. But YES, I’m all about supporting BETTER retailers, and Everlane is one for sure. Glad you’re a fan too. Thanks for saying hi and sharing with me! 🙂 xoxo
