Win a ticket to a Les Mills event near you

My fitness-loving friends, today I’m bringing you a giveaway that is very special to me. This year, Les Mills, the international group fitness brand I talk about all the time, is holding “Super Quarterly” events around the U.S. as part of a Super Q Tour, and I’m giving away a free ticket to one lucky winner to attend an event in any of the cities on the schedule. And the best part? You don’t have to be an instructor, because these events are open to anyone. Everyone can benefit from attending a Les Mills Super Quarterly event, because the energy is high, the fun is high, and it’s an all-around good time.

Before we get to the giveaway, let’s talk about what to expect from a Super Q event …

What is a Les Mills Super Quarterly event?

An all-day massive fitness event held at a big gym or convention center, in which “masterclasses” of all the latest Les Mills group fitness programs (like BODYPUMP, BODYATTACK, GRIT and more) are held, as well as educational sessions. The day usually lasts from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and includes a full line-up of new releases presented by top Les Mills trainers and presenters. As an attendee, you can pick and choose which sessions you want to attend throughout the day, although some sessions require advanced registration to ensure your spot. There is also a second day of advanced instructor modules, which requires an additional fee. Instructors can earn up to 10 educational credits (CEUs and CECs) for various group fitness certifications. For a little teaser, you can check out a promo video here

What should you bring to a Les Mills Super Quarterly event?

Bring an open mind and get ready to have fun and learn a lot with other members of the Les Mills Tribe (that’s what we call ourselves!). You’ll want to bring a few changes of workout clothes, as well as a sweatshirt and sweatpants to put over your clothes during the educational portions, as the rooms tend to get cold. Bring a change of shoes, a towel, some wet wipes to freshen up, extra deodorant, a notebook and pen, and lots of food and water. I like to bring a cooler with protein bars, coconut water, fresh fruit, a PB&J sandwich and more. While you can usually buy little items to nibble on at the location, it’s best to come prepared — believe me, you’ll be hungry. Also, be sure to bring cash, so you can purchase cool Les Mills clothing and merchandise.

What can you expect to do at a Les Mills Super Quarterly event?

You can expect to sweat and move a lot, along with hundreds of other people. You could potentially work out all day long, if you attend back-to-back class sessions. And there will be tons of instructors and participants, ranging from beginner to superstar, so anyone can go. You will be able to take “masterclasses” from some of the finest Les Mills presenters and trainers, who are at the top of their game. And you can take pictures with them, chat with them and learn from them before and after sessions and during the education portions. You’ll also get to feel the energy of a packed masterclass, which can be an absolutely amazing experience worthy of goosebumps. As a participant, you’ll learn how to move better in class, and as an instructor you’ll work on your technique and learn new and cutting-edge coaching principles, as Les Mills shares its latest research at each event. If this sounds good to you, you can sign up by visiting the Super Q Tour website today.

When and where are the Super Q Tour events this year?

  • Philadelphia – May 16
  • San Francisco – May 16 (I’ll be at this one!!)
  • Raleigh – August 8
  • Orange County, CA – August 15
  • Seattle – November 14
  • Orlando – November 14
  • Sacramento – November 21

I attended a Les Mills Quarterly event back when I lived in Orlando a few years ago and was absolutely blown away by the energy in every single session. Let’s just say I’m not the only one who is passionate about Les Mills. I truly cannot wait for May 16 to come, because every time I attend a Les Mills training or event, my love of the brand is reignited (which is saying a lot!).

    1. Hahhaha Stacie! You’re too funny. Hope you have caffeinated. But yes, a lot of people get confused with the Les Mills name. 🙂 Happy Tuesday!

  1. I would be all over the BODYATTACK classes. It would be my first as an instructor! So much opportunity to learn and grow! I would attend the Philadelphia Super Q!!

  2. This sounds so awesome! Unfortunately I have to pass because there’s no classes around me. Darn! Maybe next year 🙂 I hope you have a great time and I can’t wait to read your recap about it!

  3. That sounds so awesome! I’m way too out of shape to do an all-day event like this, but maybe one can be in my future.
Back in the day when I was in dance we would go to big dance conventions. Five straight days of technique classes, learning choreography, and competitions. It was so much fun but totally exhausting both physically and mentally!

    1. Hi Emily! I know, it’s tough. But you’d be surprised how the atmosphere and energy of an event like this can make you feel like a super-hero, able to sweat and work all day! Dance conventions sound fun! You should really enter this one! 🙂

  4. The Qs are so much fun! This is the first year I have not planned to go to one yet… I want to hear all about the Livermore one! Have fun!

    1. Hi KK! Yes, I love the energy of so many excited Les Mills people in one place. I’ll be sure to do a full recap of the this year’s event in the Bay! Happy Tuesday to you! 🙂

  5. I really want to try more of the Grit series!! So far I’ve only sampled Grit Strength.

The SF event would be perfect for me! I’m not an instructor, but I’ve loved Les Mills classes for years, and this sounds like an incredible experience!!

  6. This sounds like an amazing opportunity! I’ve been doing Body Pump pretty consistently over the past year & a half so I would love to take a class with some top instructors. I’m kinda bummed that they completely skipped the Midwest otherwise I would be all over this! I’ll be looking for your review on it!

  7. I am so excited about this giveaway! I love Les Mills and would like to become an instructor one day soon. It would be a huge opportunity to attend the Super Quarterly!!!

    1. Hi Stacey Ann! To enter you have to click on the Rafflecopter widget above — one of the options is to answer a comment and show that you did so. Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

  8. I love Quarterlies! I’m super bummed I won’t be able to make it to the big one this year in Chicago because I LOVED Vegas last year, but Super Quarterlies are great too and I’m planning for Orange County this summer. I don’t get to BodyJam nearly often enough and I can always count on it at a Quarterly. 😀 I think meeting other like-minded people and the energy is always my favorite part though.

    1. P.S. I’m not sure if you can still see my like on FB right now since I’m off for Lent, but I’ll be back on Sunday 🙂 But I do like you 😉

  9. This is such a cool giveaway! I would be so excited to attend and most excited to try Grit and BodyAttack. Wish I had a SuperSport 24 HR fitness membership so I could attend your BodyAttack class (the times at the sport and active clubs are terrible haha)!

  10. This is an awesome giveaway! I’d be excited to attend BodyPump! Even though I started only about 6 months ago, it’s become my favorite group fitness class. I’d love to feed off of all the energy at this kind of event! Sounds really fun!

    1. Hi Caroline! I’m so glad you’re a BODYPUMP fan! You would LOVE to see the energy of an event like this. Thanks for entering. Good luck! 🙂

  11. I live in Berkeley, and would love to join you at the event in SF on May 16. I will have just finished finals, as well, so would love to look forward to the tour! I have never tried BodyAttack, and would especially like to try one of those classes.

  12. Hey! I will be going to my first Q in Philly this weekend! I’m so excited! Question-when you bring your food and stuff, do you leave it in the car? Do you carry your cooler to each class? Is there a place to leave things? I might use my “spi-belt” to put my phone in during classes so I have it close for pictures. Just trying to pack for the weekend! I’m going to Chicago in August too!!! Ahhhh!!!! (certified in pump,cx,flow)

    Thanks!!
    Holly

    1. Hi Holly, fellow LM instructor! So I typically put my food in a large lunch-box sized cooler and bring it with me. Where you keep your stuff is hard. You put it to the side of the room typically and just risk it being left with other people’s stuff. However, at these Qs when you have time to go to your car, then TOTALLY keep it in your car and go in and out. But I find that the breaks are the best time to meet new people, so I like to have all my stuff around me and not have to go in and out. And totally good idea to have your phone on you at all times! Chicago will be HUGE, so no idea what to expect there. Yay for your three certifications! I hope to take BODYFLOW for the first time in a long time this Saturday. Did I answer your questions? Thanks for saying hello!! 🙂
